Liz and Tom were married at the beautiful Oakmont United Methodist Church this fall, and then had a beautiful reception at the Famous Oakmont Country Club. In between the church and the club, we ran quickly into Oakland because it meant a lot to Liz to get a few photos at the Columns at Carnegie Mellon University.

Liz, as promised, here are some of my favorites. With such a beautiful day, it was hard to choose just a few, but here you go.

Thanks for a wonderful night! I had a great time with you and your friends and family, and I hope that your life together is filled with life, love, and adventure.

Ceremony: Oakmont United Methodist Church: Old stone church on a beautiful side street, was beautiful for photos

Reception: Oakmont Country Club: beautiful and historic, every event I’ve shot has gone perfect there.

Florist: Oakmont Floral and Design: Amazing Flowers and decor

DJ: Joani Karaoke: They kept the party rolling all night.

Since winter is just around the bend, I’m getting ready to launch my new winter lifestyle sessions, where we spend a day skiing, sledding, hiking, snow tubing, or anything else that you like to do in the winter, and capture you and your family having a fun day together.

The idea came to me when my parents put the farm that I grew up on near 7 Springs Ski Resort, and we really dont have photos of this time in our life. So this fall, when we have the whole family together, I am going to work on creating a book to commemorate that segment of our life, before the next step begins.

So that is what I am proposing to families coming into the area from Baltimore, MD., Washington, D.C., Virginia, or as close as Pittsburgh, etc, for a weekend of fun in the snow at ski resorts locally, (7 Springs, or Hidden Valley) or any place that is meaningful to your family, i.e. a camp, other resort, cabin, or local Western Pennsylvania Park, etc.

After the day of shooting is finished, I will be producing a custom coffee table book for you, to remind you of that time in your life, before it passes by.

Anyways, here are some photos that I have been playing with from downhill mountain biking yesterday at North Parks free ride hill Dr. J.

This first one is me taken by my buddy Ray, even though I am cut off, I love the photo. Typically I dont like any heavy processing, but with these photos it gives it more of a gritty look.

The rest of these were taken by me, using an off camera flash, camera left, with a Nikon D70, Pocket Wizard, and a slow small aperture lens.

Here is the second part of Jill and Eric’s beautiful fall wedding at Mothers of Sorrows Church, and some fun dancing photos of Jill and her father, Eric and his mother, and their first dance.

After a beautiful Ceremony, we headed to the beer distributor in the limo, before heading to Mellon Park in Downtown Pittsburgh to capture some beautifully simple and fun portraits.

We then headed to the Holiday Inn on McKnight Rd for a great reception where the guests danced the night away.

The wedding season is winding down now, and its the perfect time for couples, families, or anyone for that matter, to start thinking about some fun winter lifestyle portraits as the weather starts to change. More to com on this soon, but some ideas for it would be a day hiking with the family, picking a Christmas tree, sled riding, a day in the snow, or anything for that matter.

Anyways, wait for the big reveal to come soon, until then, have a great day.
