Tanya’s father is the pastor of this beautiful orthodox church, so her nephew walked her half way down the aisle where she met Jon, and Father Paul (her father) to begin a beautiful ceremony. It was an interesting ceremony, as the photos will show, because they stop halfway down the aisle, have readings and do a ring ceremony, and then they moved to the front of the church while the maid of honor and best man stood behind them and held crowns over their head. From what I understand, they then walked around the alter three times to signify their marriage to each other, and God. Regardless, the ceremony was beautiful, as was the Church.

Today is a focus on the  the actual wedding photography, tomorrow I’ll focus on the reception at the beautiful Twleve Oaks Mansion in Cranberry, Pa.

Father Paul sat Tanya and Jon down on stools, and dedicated a song to them.  Unknown to me, this was foreshadowing the evening.DDS_9299(blog)

After the ceremony, we shot the family portraits inside the church, and then headed outside to grab a few quick photos before heading to the reception for some live music during cocktail hour, and a fun reception.
